About Me.

Myla S. Roundy is a student at Howard University, majoring in journalism and minoring in women's, gender and sexualities studies. 

She has a passion for advocacy and community work, as well as intentional and accurate storytelling, shown through her involvement as the managing editor of The Hilltop, program director of Brown Kids Read and the chartering president of Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program at Howard, amongst many other organizations and commitments. 

Myla plans to pursue a career in investigative journalism, focusing on local accountability reporting and would eventually like to join academia. 

Some of her achievements include being an inaugural cohort member of the Du Bois Data Lab with the Center for Journalism and Democracy, launching her own blog, Myla’s Muse, and interning at The Washington Post as an Ida. B Wells Society investigative intern.
